myPOS Combo
The steps to connect the myPOS Combo device to Wi-Fi:
- STEP 1: Select “Wi-Fi” from the CONNECTION TYPE menu by pressing (1). The device will scan for available Wi-Fi networks within its range and will display a list of their names on the screen.
- STEP 2: Find the Wi-Fi network and select it by pressing its number (from 1 to 6). If there are more than 6 available networks on the list, switch to the next page of the list by pressing SETTINGS. If the Wi-Fi network cannot be found on the list, press (X) and the device will rescan (search again) for available Wi-Fi networks. Make sure the device is in range of the network.
- STEP 3: If the Wi-Fi network requires a password, the device will display the Wi-Fi Password screen to enter the password. If the password contains digits, press the relevant number key. If it contains letters or other symbols, press the relevant number key and then press F2 as many times as necessary until the correct letter is displayed. If a mistake is made, press (>) to delete the last entry. When the password has been entered, press (O) in order to complete the operation.
Once the device has been connected to the Wi-Fi network, it will perform a test of the connection to myPOS system. If the connection test is unsuccessful, the device will display an error message. Check if the Wi-Fi is working correctly and repeat the steps.
The steps to connect the myPOS device to SIM Data card:
If a SIM card is already inserted into the myPOS Combo device, it will automatically connect to the Internet.
If the merchant would like another SIM card to be used the steps described below should be followed:
- STEP 1: Remove the back cover of the device by turning the bolt on top of the panel and remove the battery. The SIM card and SAM compartments should be visualized.
- STEP 2: Insert the SIM card in the SIM card slot 1 (the front one) with the gold colored contact surface facing down. Make sure that the SIM card is inserted in SIM slot 1 (the front one). The myPOS Go device works with the standard SIM card size and if the SIM is a micro or nano, a SIM adapter should be used.
- STEP 3: Enter the SIM PIN. If the mobile network was not recognized, the myPOS Combo device will display an error message and two options: to try again (X) or to manually enter the APN settings (O) of the mobile network. Once it has connected to the mobile network, the myPOS Go will perform a test of the connection to the myPOS system. If the test is successful, the activation screen will appear; If the connection test is unsuccessful, the myPOS Go screen will display an error message.
