Connectivity settings of myPOS Go 2

Overview:
The myPOS Go 2 device can connect to the Internet using a SIM Data Card or Wi-Fi. The latest version of myPOS Go 2 supports both 3G/4G and 2.4GHz Wi-Fi connectivity.
These settings are valid for all other traditional devices provideed by myPOS in the past: myPOS Go (does not support Wi-Fi), myPOS Combo and myPOS Mini.

Using a SIM Card:
1. Automatic Connection: if a SIM card is already inserted into the myPOS Go 2 device, it will automatically connect to the Internet.
2. Manual SIM Card Insertion:
• Step 1: Remove the back cover by pressing down the button on the top panel and remove the battery. This reveals the SIM card and SAM compartments.
• Step 2: Insert the SIM card into SIM slot 1 (the front slot) with the gold contacts facing down. Ensure the SIM card is the standard size, or use a SIM adapter if needed.
• Step 3: Enter the SIM PIN if prompted. If the network is not recognised, an error message will display options to retry or manually enter the APN settings. Once connected, the device will test the connection to the myPOS system. If successful, the activation screen will appear; if not, an error message will be shown.

Using Wi-Fi:
1. Connecting to Wi-Fi:
• Step 1: Turn on the device and navigate to the settings menu.
• Step 2: Select change Connection Type and choose Wi-Fi
• Step 3: Enter the network password if required. Once connected, the device will test the connection to the myPOS system and proceed with activation if successful.

Troubleshooting Connection Issues
1. Error: ‘Unable to reach authorisation host’
• Network Restrictions: The router might have network traffic restrictions or specific filters.
• Special Settings: The router might need specific settings or a special TCP/IP configuration which the myPOS device does not support.
• Signal Strength: Ensure the network signal is strong enough, indicated by the Wi-Fi signal icon on the screen.

Be informed that only the latest version of myPOS Go 2 supports Wi-Fi. Please check your device or device packackaging for the Wi-Fi symbol to check if it supports Wi-Fi.
