If your phone does not detect the card during a payment attempt with the myPOS Glass app, follow these steps to troubleshoot the issue:
1. Check for Contactless Compatibility:
- Ensure the card you are trying to accept is contactless. Look for the contactless symbol on the card. Only contactless cards can be read by the myPOS Glass app.
- Additionally, verify that the card is a Visa or Mastercard, as these are supported for NFC transactions.
2. Proper Card Placement:
- Make sure the client's card is held against the back of your phone, where the NFC sensor is located. The card should remain in this position until the transaction dots on your screen have fully loaded and an audible signal confirms the successful payment.
3. NFC Sensor Location:
- If you are unsure where the NFC sensor is on your phone, use the myPOS Glass app to locate it by navigating to More -> Additional settings -> Find NFC reader.
