What you can do about a transfer depends on whether it's been executed yet.
Before execution: cancel it yourself
- Mobile app: More > Transfers > Not completed, select the transfer, tap Cancel.
- Website: Merchant Account > Payments > Pending payments, select the payment, click Cancel.
You can't edit a transfer once it's ordered — cancel it and create a new one instead. Standing orders need cancelling by the end of the business day before the payment is due; cancelling on the day itself is too late.
After execution: request a recall
| A recall is a request, not a reversal. The money comes back only if the beneficiary agrees. If they've already spent it, or refuse, the funds aren't recovered — and the fee still applies. |
Email help@mypos.com with the transfer reference number, date, amount and reason. Act quickly if you sent money to the wrong account — the sooner a recall goes out, the better the chance of recovering it.
If someone asks us to recall a payment sent to you, we'll email you to ask whether you agree to return it. If you've already spent the funds, you'll need to top up your account first.
Automatic and recurring transfers (standing orders)
A standing order sends a transfer automatically on a schedule — daily, weekly or monthly — to another myPOS account or any bank account.
In the mobile app: tap Send > Bank transfer, then choose the account to pay. Open Advanced options to set your schedule and end date (standing orders require one). Give a specific reason for payment — this reduces the chance of it being held or declined.
If a scheduled payment fails from insufficient funds, we'll email you and retry over the following days; if every attempt fails, it's cancelled automatically. Find and cancel a standing order under your scheduled or pending payments — this doesn't affect payments it's already made.
To pay many beneficiaries at once rather than the same one repeatedly, use a mass payment. Upload a file with all the payments in one currency instead of entering them individually.
