Bank transfer limits

Your account has limits on how much you can transfer, set for your specific account. The figures in your account are the ones that apply to you.

  • Website: click Fees at the bottom of the page, then Fees for myPOS Account.
  • Mobile app: Profile > Legal > Fees > Fees for myPOS Account.

Look under "Money transfers outside the system" for transfers to other banks, and "Money transfers within the system" for transfers to other myPOS accounts.

Each type of transfer has limits at several levels — per transfer, per day and per month — and a transfer must satisfy all of them. Your account might also show weekly and annual limits.

The website and the app can have different limits — for security reasons, app limits can be lower. If a transfer exceeds the app limit, you might be able to send it from the website instead.

Card spending and ATM withdrawal limits are separate, and appear under their own headings in Issuer limits.

Requesting a higher limit

Email help@mypos.com from your registered address, and include:

  • The reason for the request
  • Your current limit and the limit you need
  • Whether it's for the website or the mobile app
  • The limit base — single transfer, daily or monthly

We might ask for supporting documents — for example contracts or invoices showing the payments you need to make. Upload these through Profile > Documents rather than by email, as *.jpg, *.jpeg, *.png, *.pdf, *.tiff, *.doc, *.docx or *.bmp, up to 64 MB per file.

If a transfer was declined but was comfortably within your limits, a limit increase won't fix it. See "Why a transfer was declined" - https://help.mypos.com/hc/en-gi/articles/31405898731420-Why-a-transfer-was-declined-or-SEPA-Instant-isn-t-available for the more likely causes.
