3D Secure-enabled websites require a one-time password (OTP) sent to a mobile phone number to complete purchases. However, myPOS automatically uses the phone number you provided when activating your myPOS card. Therefore, you typically do not need to provide a mobile number separately for 3D Secure transactions.
Steps to Ensure Seamless 3D Secure Transactions:
1. Verify Your Phone Number: Ensure that the phone number linked to your myPOS account is correct. This is the number that will receive the OTP for 3D Secure purchases.
2. Updating Your Phone Number: If your phone number has changed or if there are any issues, you should send an email request to help@mypos.com. In your email, include your current phone number and the new number you wish to use. The support team will process your request and update your phone number accordingly. Have in mind that only the wallet owner can change the mobile number linked to a specific myPOS card. This ensures you receive the OTP necessary for completing purchases on 3D Secure-enabled websites.
3. Purchasing on Non-3D Secure Websites: If you are purchasing from a website that is not 3D Secure-enabled, you will not be asked for an OTP to complete the transaction.
